The Real Deal:

V Pilates is located in Toluca Lake tucked away on Cahuenga Blvd…but with its hot pink and black exterior, the studio is hard to miss!!  Pilates Circuit Training is an intense 45 minute class that incorporates both strength and cardio.  The class is capped at 9 students, so be sure to reserve your spot in advance.  Trampolines, The Wunda Chair and the Pilates Reformer are all used to gain flexibility, lose fat and build muscle.  The class is designed for all levels, but be warned, this is a serious workout!  The studio also offers mat classes, piloxing and bootcamp…check back soon for upcoming reviews.

  • There are a few parking spots located in a small lot in front of the studio, but you can also find parking along Cahuenga Blvd.
  • The workout can either be done barefoot or in socks

I had no idea what to expect when I arrived at V Pilates for the Pilates Circuit Training class.  I was pleasantly surprised to see a trampoline as soon I walked in the room.  Every five minutes Jessica Dicksa, the amazing instructor, had our group rotating between the Wunda Chair, the Reformer and the Trampoline.  I started on the trampoline with a few variations on jumping with high knees, then moved to the Wunda Chair for some butt burning leg lifts, and finally I was off to the reformer for more legs and upper body.  With that…our first round was complete!  We made our way around the three pieces of equipment two more times working every part of our body to fatigue.  Don’t be deceived by Jessica’s sweet face, she will show you no mercy…but will get you in shape!  The trampoline was my favorite, and the half pound weighted gloves you wear throughout the workout definitely help sculpt and exhaust your arms!
